A Radiant Mind: Five Mornings of Practice with the Hindrances (Online)

Five Guided Meditations and Dharmettes with Kodo Conlin

Dates & Time: January 26 - 30, 2026  7:00 am - 7:45 am

Description: Each weekday morning Gil leads a

Radiant, lucid, weildy and wise: just some of the words used to describe an unhindered mind. For a meditator, it does not take long to discover that there are forces in the mind that hinder clarity, that draw attention away from the lucidity of the present moment. Of these forces, the Buddha emphasized five hindrances to be seen, accompanied, understood, and released. In doing so, we make way for the arising of clearer mindfulness, weildy concentration, and deeper insight.

Over five mornings we will explore these five hindrances, how they might be recognized and worked with, in our meditation and daily life.

Sessions begin with a lightly-guided, 30-minute meditation (7-7:30 am) followed by a brief discussion of the hindrances (7:30-7:45 am). This offering is broadcast live. Recordings will be available on Audiodharma and IMC’s YouTube page.
